I've seen a few bears who sit just like this while they take it easy. Here, the bear and the Wood Duck have a conversation of sorts at lake's edge on a summer evening. There is so much of wildlife that happens that we are not privileged to see and that is a good thing. So this one is mostly from my imagination and just for fun.

You capture their quirks and personalities and give them such human qualities...it is no wonder that your children's books are a worldwide success!
