Description
I saw this handsome mountain goat on the Highline Trail in Glacier National Park. It's a narrow trail on the very steep side of a mountain and so was not easy to step off the trail! These showy, snowy animals are so impressive and much larger up close than you would think and so I found a way to scramble above the trail and give this goat the right of way. After all, those gorgeous mountains are his turf.

Thank you so much Mariola for the feature in your group 500 Views! If I shit my eyes I can see that goat right on the trail.

You are so right Lorenzo and this image shows it exactly as I remember that gorgeous day in Glacier! Thank you!

Love the composition of this beautiful art. I can relate to the comment posted earlier by Peggy Collins. Sometimes hiking in places like Glacier National Park requires the hiker to stand off trail & let these goats pass. Talk about exciting!!

This goat has such personality! I love the layers of mountain terrain behind him. The color palate is rich and inviting. like!

He looks like he's wondering why you're there in front of him. Another delightful image! Love your choice of colors too.
Harriet Peck Taylor replied:
Peggy. Your comment brought such a smile to my face! He was wondering that but the Highline Trail has winds around one of the steepest mountains and it was almost impossible to climb up or down off the trail!
