Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

A beautifully detailed antique, vintage map from the year 1883, of an aerial view of the city of Mount Vernon (Mt.Vernon), Westchester County, New York. This wonderfully nostalgic piece of history is from the Public Domain, created and published by O.H.Bailey. Also included, below the map are several illustrations of well known manufacturers and establishments in the area at the time and a list of places of note, including churches, schools, stores and public buildings. This reproduction map has been restored and color corrected.
I'm a travel photographer and photo artist. I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
