Description

On the Walking Mall, in downtown Helena Montana USA, most of the buildings are old with fine detail, such as the Securities building in this image. This statue is of a bullwhacker, commemorates the men the drove freight teams with supplies for the Helena's 1860s mining community. Created by Montana artist, John B. Weaver, when this part of Main Street was converted to the Walking Mall during Urban Renewal. I liked how the lamp light shows up the color of the building and silhouettes the statue.
