Hi and welcome to our shop! I’m Mike O’Donnell, a lifelong artist. My wife Mary and I will be hosts at this site. I have been painting on and off for 50 years. I paint in acrylics, oils, watercolors and water soluble oils, and have attended classes since the beginning. I like creating paintings for people to enjoy on a day-to-day basis using my art as part of their lives, and for them to find from my paintings a liking and a certain satisfaction and joy that seem to make their days better.
Today we are blessed with so many avenues to see art. With the local shows and museums and the Internet, we have such a diversity of art available to us that it is possible to select art which pleases us for the moment and to choose carefully for the future. We have exposure to artists near and far, with prices that also are near and far -- stay within your budget and you’ll be happier and so will the artist. This does not mean you have to settle for second best, it means you should search for something you really like and plan to keep, so shop well!
I hope that you like my paintings and that they give you a nice homey feeling, something you can live with. If not, there are many artists out there who paint well, and there's always a painting that will fit your purpose and liking, so keep on looking!
